⛪ Our Needham Home: A Word About Our Discernment
Holding Your Words. Two weeks ago you told the Property Discernment Team what you love about the place where we worship on Greendale Avenue, what concerns you carry, and what you hope for the next generation of ministry here. That input didn’t go into a drawer. Gina, Camille, Rob, Dae, Linda, John, and I spent time during the last two weeks turning your feedback into a thoughtful plan covering financial realities, space options, and the long-term needs of Kidsrock, Student Ministry, and worship. This is slow, careful work, and we’d rather do it right than do it fast. We’ll keep you involved as we go — and please keep praying for the team and our congregation as we discern how to match our mission with our space. 

🔥 Pastor Dave Swaim will be with us this Sunday to deliver a sermon titled “Who is Your Cornelius?” based on Acts 10, in our current sermon series, Exponential: Spiritual Power to Make a Difference. Pastor Dave invites you to look over the 16th-century Examen as a preparation for the sermon (a family version is found here Examen). The series centers on pivotal sections in Acts where the Holy Spirit led the early Church.

👥 Fall Groups — Practicing the Way
Last year, many of us journeyed through Practicing the Way together, learning what it means to become apprentices of Jesus. This fall, we’re building on that foundation. Beginning the week of October 5, we’ll be launching our fall Practicing the Way studies on Service and Witness. Together, we’ll explore what it means to love like Jesus and to naturally share His hope with the people God has placed in our lives. Registration opens Sunday, August 16. We hope you’ll prayerfully consider joining a group this fall.

Ways to Go Deeper!

MetroWest Prays is meets on some Mondays in the summer; it is normally held on Monday evenings, 8:30 – 9 pm by going on this ZOOM LINK. The next in-person prayer meeting date and time will be listed here when scheduled. (There is no zoom prayer meeting on the same Monday we meet in person). All are welcome to our prayer meetings. Prayer Requests and the next Prayer Meeting information can be sent at any time to the prayer team via this form or contact Pastor Robert.

For Moms! The MetroWest chapter of Momsrock meets most Friday mornings at 9:30 am in Fellowship Hall. Contact Sandi Norman for more information at sandinorman@gmail.com.

Join a Morning Prayer Call on Zoom (audio only), 5:45-6:15 AM, Monday-Thursday during the school year, starting September 15th, for scripture, contemplation, and prayer, with flexible participation open to all and no pressure to speak.
