Many of us want a faith that actually works in real life—but when pressure comes, we’re not always sure what to trust, how to resist temptation, or how to recognize God’s voice. Beneath that uncertainty are deeper questions we rarely say out loud:
Does my life have a meaningful purpose? Does following Jesus actually make my life better? How can I know God’s will?
Left unattended and unanswered, these questions create a low-grade restlessness that dampens how we live, love, and hope. And in the places where life hasn’t turned out as hoped – marriage and divorce, sickness and grief, singleness and disappointment – we find ourselves tempted to believe that God remains distant.
The truth is, God is close! We see this truth in Jesus who came to earth and spoke words of truth that gave real life to a group of people who were lost and hopeless. And God wants to speak life into you as well! In fact, God has already spoken those precious words, which are carefully preserved for you in the Bible.
In 2026, we invite you to open the New Testament with us, because God speaks through it in unique and living ways, meeting real people in real struggles. Imagine what will happen if, day after day, you simply showed up to listen? As we learn to recognize the Shepherd’s voice among many competing – even Christian – voices, we will experience God’s Word becoming our true north and our anchor as we face life’s toughest questions and challenges.

To help make this journey accessible and sustainable, we’ll offer tailored reading schedules you can follow through the YouVersion Bible App, a shared Google Sheet, or a simple print-at-home tracker. Each day’s reading will be accompanied by short online devotionals available on YouTube and as a podcast, designed to help you reflect and stay connected to the wider community. Select episodes from The Chosen will also align with our readings, helping us imagine the world of Jesus more vividly. In addition, short Bible Project videos will provide big-picture summaries so we don’t miss the forest for the trees. Together, these tools are here to support one simple practice: opening the bible regularly and letting God speak.
