Maundy Thursday Community Dinners

The word “Maundy” comes from the Latin “maundatum,” which means mandate or command. On this night we gather in community, remembering how Jesus gathered his disciples for a meal, offered himself as the elements of communion and gave the command to love one another as he has loved us.

Everyone is invited to host Maundy Thursday gatherings in your own home for your friends, small groups, or even new friends from different backgrounds and life-stages, to share in food and fellowship. We are providing an easy group guide to follow during your dinners at home. There is an optional craft included as part of the home liturgy.  If you choose to include the craft in your gathering, you will want to gather the materials ahead of time – details are in the guide, which is coming soon!

Highrock Arlington and Highrock MetroWest will also host congregational gatherings for anyone not connected to a house gathering. Registration for these event is requested.
