Summer Family Getaway 2026

“Let the message about Christ, in all its richness, fill your lives. Teach and counsel each other with all the wisdom he gives. Sing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs to God with thankful hearts.” Colossians 3:16
Every family has its own rhythm, and at Home Tones we’ll discover how God is the master composer of our lives and our homes. Through stories, conversations, worship, and fun together, we’ll explore how God creates us with purpose, makes each of us wonderfully unique, and teaches us to extend grace when we don’t always hit the same notes.
- When: August 14-17, 2026
- Where: Camp Berea, 68 Berea Rd, Hebron, NH 03241
- What to bring: You are cabin-camping, so you should plan to bring everything you need other than a bed for the long weekend, including all linens and toiletries. An exception to this is if you are in the Diamond “Hotel Style” Units in which linens are provided for you. Here's our suggested packing list.
When should I arrive? You can arrive as early as 3:30pm and take advantage of the beautiful surroundings and settle into your cabin! The Welcoming Table will be set up until 6:30pm. Dinner closes promptly at 6:30 so if you are running late, plan to eat before you arrive. No need to start the weekend hangry!
If you are caught in traffic and will miss that window, there is no official “late check in”. Please park your car in the main parking lot and join us for our opening session! We will put your welcome packet in your cabin for you. If you do not know where your cabin is, no worries! Ask at check-in, or find Lauren after the first session and I’m happy to guide you there.
What can I expect when I arrive? When you arrive at Camp Berea, look for our Welcoming Table at the Welcoming Center where you will receive your Welcome Kit and directions to your cabin! You will be able to drive your car to unload your stuff at your cabin. After unloading, you will park your car at one of the central lots.
Important parking note: Due to the high attendance numbers, parking at Berea’s main lot will be tight! Plan to carpool as much as possible. If you need to bring multiple vehicles, or the main parking lot is full, there is overflow parking on the soccer field. The soccer field is located before the gate to Berea on the right side as you enter from the street OR if you are in the main lot already and heading back toward the road, the soccer field is on the LEFT side past the high ropes/giant swing. Do not try to squeeze into the main lot as Berea is VERY particular about keeping driveways clear for fire safety reasons.
When does our schedule begin? Our first Welcoming session will be at 7pm in the Gym. Join us for family worship! Get to know other families who are here! Get a sneak preview of what’s to come in our 8th annual Highrock Summer Family Getaway!

Please pay attention to your cabin locations and the location of parking. You may pull up to your cabin to unload but will need to park in the lot due to fire code concerns.
Cabin Descriptions
Every family has their own cabin and private bathroom. You should have received your cabin assignment from Jill Swilling. If you have not, please contact jills@highrock.org.
Food Allergies
Your family’s allergy information was gathered on your registration form. Please let jills@highrock.org know if there have been any changes.
Berea takes food allergies very seriously. It is Berea’s policy to label their lines for Gluten and Dairy. Allergy foods are kept separate for those who have concerns with cross-contamination in the buffet line.
Berea is a nut free kitchen and dining hall, and stocks gluten free breads and pastas.
ONLY for the few families with strict food allergies and strict dietary restrictions that require you to bring alternate food that needs refrigeration, there is a small dorm-size refrigerator in the dining hall. No others should store food in this refrigerator. Berea also cannot provide ice for coolers, but the freezer in the Timothy room can be used to store ice packs for personal coolers.

Activities
Most free time activities are open and do not require sign ups. However, Berea’s Adventure Activities such as boating/tubing (extra fee) and the giant swing, solo challenge, and high ropes (free) require special staffing. You can sign up in the Welcoming Center as you check in. Slots fill up quickly! Read the activity descriptions for more details.
Important Policies
You and your family can come and go as you please, however, please do not take any minor children (under age 18, including Highrock Interns) with you without expressed permission from their parents. Parents of unaccompanied interns will have provided names of adults their children can leave the property with prior to the start of the Getaway. Contact Michael Taber (michael@highrock.org) with questions.
Please note that Berea does not permit any pets, open fires, smoking or alcohol at the camp. Please help Highrock continue to maintain a respectful relationship with Berea by abiding by its rules and policies.

Pre-getaway Devotional
If you can, spend 15-20 minutes before you get to the retreat to get your family prepared for your time together. If nothing else, spend five minutes watching the YouTube video to be introduced to the skit characters.
