Politics for the Sake of Our Neighbors

Session Panelists: Yi-An Huang & Kaitlyn Schiess

In the fourth session of Theology Lab’s Deliver Us From Evil series,  we welcome Kaitlyn Schiess from the popular podcast, the Holy Post, and Yi-An Huang, the City Manager of Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Yi-An and Kaitlyn will take us into a conversation on the topics of politics and evil. In a realm that’s so often characterized by division and polarization, we’ll ask our guests what it looks like to engage politics – to think politically – as Christians and our commitment to become better disciples of Jesus.

  • What are the risks and temptations that Christians face in engaging politics?
  • What are the costs when they stand apart from the political process?
  • What should we think about the Christian Nationalism movement?
  • How might engagement in politics help us learn from others and what might we, as Christians, uniquely bring to the table in our belief that God has reconciled the world back to God in Christ?

This conversation will cover a whole range of questions and topics, each with the goal growing both in wisdom and insight into what it means to love our neighbor.
