Crescendo: Crafting A Narrative of Flourishing For Older Adults

The aging process is talked about a lot. Yet, little is said about the biblical and spiritual aspects of aging. By examining and exploring Bible passages that have something to say about aging and older adults, we will discover a deeper knowledge and understanding of the process of growing old. And in doing so, we seek to build a community that knows one another, loves ones another, loves our church, and loves our world.

The winter session of Crescendo considers the great story of aging in America (2 weeks), navigating financial considerations (one week), responding to grief and loss in healthy ways (3 weeks), and crafting a personal life story (4 weeks).  Participants may register for all topics or choose specific blocks.  The semester begins and ends with a Crescendo Community potluck brunch for everyone.

We will follow this general format in both large and small groups:  Welcome – Ice Breaker – Interactive study of God’s Word – Response – Sending.

Meetings will take place on Sundays at 10:45am at Highrock Arlington in the Loft starting January 12 thru March 23.

For more information and registration, please contact Pastor Joe Marcucci (joem@highrock.org) or 617.767.1529.
