In the second session of Theology Lab’s Deliver Us From Evil series, we’re joined by activists and authors, Shane Claiborne (Red Letter Christians) and Dominique Dubois Gilliard (Subversive Witness).

Building on the first session’s discussion of the Bible, Dominique and Shane take us into a conversation on how evil and sin manifest themselves at a societal level. They will help us explore what Scripture means when it says our struggle is not with flesh and blood but “the power and principalities” of this age. What exactly are these powers?

We’ll even venture into the topic of spiritual warfare, asking Shane and Dominique to share how they relate to the notion of spiritual warfare – and again, what is spiritual warfare? – and what it means for followers of Jesus to resist evil today and discover hope in the living God who works in our midst.
