Welcoming Internationals

Immigrants, refugees, international students, and visiting scholars have been a part of Highrock since our beginnings at Central Square in Cambridge. Highrock is committed to welcoming and serving internationals in Boston by providing a community that can help with the many challenges of adjusting to life in the USA. We welcome you to the many events and activities at Highrock that are geared toward internationals, and look forward to getting to know your story!

Are you an international and new to Boston? We invite you to worship with us on Sundays. You do not need to be a Christian to attend our Sunday worship services or events—we welcome individuals from many different religious backgrounds. We look forward to meeting you!

Find a Class in Your Area

English Conversation Classes by Congregation

  • Highrock Arlington hosts an English Language Program for Japanese Speakers, specifically for Japanese Speakers.

  • Help internationals develop English fluency and deeper understanding of American culture by serving as a conversation partner in one of our classes. The participants are eager to learn and the classes are filled with fun, laughter, and growing friendships! Beginning late September, we’ll have two classes meet in Central Square during the week:

    • Tuesdays from 6:30-8:00pm
    • Thursdays from 6:45-8:15pm

    Both offer an optional Bible discussion after the English class, and many of the internationals participate. To get more info about becoming a speaking partner, please contact Co-Director LeLe Hsu, at leleh@highrock.org.
