Kidsrock

Helping Kids Grow in Their Faith

Kidsrock is for toddlers through 5th graders, their parents/guardians, and their Small Group leaders. Our mission is to shepherd children in connecting to God personally, connecting to God’s people, and connecting to God’s purposes by teaching and modeling a Christ-centered life that is empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Capitalizing on kids’ natural sense of curiosity, awe, and wonder, we utilize the Orange curriculum to help kids during each phase of their growth learn about God, make wise choices, and develop a deeper trust in God through engaging Bible stories, fun activities and games, and talking prompts to delve deeper in faith conversations with their families, peers, and leaders.

Details by Congregation

  • Kidsrock Programming

Kidsrock groups are offered only during the Sunday morning 9:00am service at this time.

Kidsrock organizes children into Small Groups based on age (Early Childhood: age 1-PreK) or grade (Elementary: Kindergarten-Grade 5). Groups for all ages meet throughout the academic year, and only for ages 1-4 during the summer.

Where the groups meet varies, but most meet in the Kidsrock Wing adjacent to the main sanctuary! Any questions about your child’s group’s location, or which group your child would be in, can be answered by our Kidsrock Welcome Team on Sunday mornings or via email to the Kidsrock Directors (see below).

Small Groups are open for drop-off beginning at 8:50am and parent paging is available for your peace of mind during service. Parents and guardians should plan to pick up their children immediately following service.

Kids Are Welcome To Attend Service

Your children are always welcome in the main sanctuary with you. In addition, the Cafe, right outside the main sanctuary offers a family-friendly space with video feed of the service. There is also a small Family Room located off the main sanctuary, near the tech booth, that offers a comfortable space for parents and infants. Inquire with a Welcome Team member with any questions.

  • Kidsrock highly endorses accessing at-home materials via the Parent Cue app. Once you have made a profile for your child, you will have access to the same weekly Bible story videos that children who attend in-person programming also experience. In addition, there are at-home guides with an activity/game to do with your child, prompts to engage in faith conversations during the day, as well as other resources like devotional materials for kids, depending upon the age of the child.

Parent Partnership

Parents and Guardians have a vital role to play! And at Highrock we are committed to supporting you, too. We partner with parents and guardians through our Milestones program. At each of your child’s key transitions and spiritual milestones, we offer resources, instruction, and support in raising a Jesus-loving generation.

For families with children experiencing disability, we encourage you to explore our church’s AccessAbility Community Group, which is dedicated to including and supporting those experiencing disability and their families in the full life of the church.

Parent Cue App

Partner with us by following along with the weekly curriculum and continuing conversations throughout the week via the Parent Cue app. There you will find devotionals to enhance the lesson of the week and other prompts to engage in conversations with your child(ren.)

Kidsrock Leaders Help Kids Take a Leap of Faith

Kidsrock has some of the most faithful, creative, and fun volunteers who make environments in which kids can take leaps of faith!

We do this together by helping kids:

Learn the Big God Story

Kidsrock leaders help kids understand the larger narrative of God’s love and grace woven throughout the Bible as we teach the entirety of God’s story.

Experience Christ in Community

As group leaders, we shepherd kids in small group environments where relationships are formed and biblical lessons are applied.

Activate Our Faith

We help kids build a lasting faith by directing them to actively serve God and others. Toddlers and preschoolers learn to activate their faith by simply loving others in their groups. Elementary students serve by leading worship, assisting the younger kids, and engaging in community projects.

Partner With Parents

Kidsrock leaders come alongside parents to be an important voice in kids’ lives. As parents and leaders partner together, the synergy of their relationships brings about transformation in each kid’s life.
