What is Christianity Explored?
Christianity Explored is an opportunity for anyone (Christian or non-Christian) to explore Christianity over food, with others at a similar stage in their journey, and in a relaxed and friendly setting. Foundational questions about Jesus' identity, mission and call will be examined and all other questions are welcome as well. It's a natural follow-up to The Reason For God, The Prodigal God, and The Case for Christ (offered earlier in the Fall), though it can be enjoyed without having attended any of those groups. Our goal is to foster mutual understanding, dialogue and relationship.

Christianity Explored will run for 7 consecutive Sunday mornings (with a break for the Thanksgiving Holiday),* from 10:45am-11:45am, starting on October 30th at the Arlington Senior Center (next to Town Hall - 27 Maple St.). Each session begins with a brief introductory presentation about a given topic followed by open small group discussion (see schedule below). You can attend just one session or as many sessions as you like. Also, childcare is provided though our 10:45am Highrock Kids! Sunday School offerings.

*Note: There will also be a Friday night offering at Friday Night Fellowship, which tentatively begins November 11th from 7:30pm-9:30pm at Highrock Church (735 Massachusetts Ave.). For more details go to the FNF page or contact .

Christianity Explored gives people time and space to think about the big questions of life and to explore the life of the person at the heart of the Christian faith, Jesus Christ.

Over 7 weeks, guests journey through the Gospel of Mark exploring the identity, mission and call of Jesus – who he is, why he came and what it means to follow him. There is plenty of time to ask questions and discuss the claims of Jesus and their implications for our lives. For more on the course, please watch the video below:

Who is Christianity Explored For?

Christianity Explored is great for anyone who doesn’t identify as a Christian. It helps them explore Christianity and process any questions or doubts they might have in a safe and low-key fashion. Whether you are very skeptical, just curious, or actively seeking to learn more about Jesus, Christianity Explored is for you.

Christianity Explored will also benefit Christians by helping them learn how to engage in fruitful dialogue about their faith in ways that seek mutual understanding and edification, and honors the concerns and doubts of others. It’s also a gentle, non-threatening and relaxed way to invite friends, family, neighbors and/or acquaintances to begin the conversation.

How Do I Attend?
