The Prodigal God / Case for Christ Saturday is an opportunity for anyone (Christian or non-Christian) to explore Christianity over food, with others at a similar stage in their journey, and in a relaxed and friendly setting.

In the Prodigal God (9:30am-11:30am), Jesus’ Parable of the Prodigal Son will be looked at as a lens to illuminate the central message of Christianity (i.e. the gospel) and how it is neither religion nor irreligion, morality nor immorality, but something else entirely.

In the Case for Christ (1pm-4:30pm), former Chicago Tribune journalist Lee Stobel recounts his faith journey from Atheism to Christianity and what evidence compelled him to doubt his own doubts.

All questions are welcome. Both The Prodigal God and The Case for Christ are natural follow-ups to The Reason For God (offered earlier in the Fall), though they can be enjoyed without having attended The Reason for God.  Also you can attend just the morning Prodigal God session without attending the afternoon Case for Christ session or vice versa. Our goal is to foster mutual understanding, dialogue and relationship.

The Prodigal God / Case for Christ Saturday will meet at the Highrock Ministry Center (731 Massachusetts Ave). We'll begin with light breakfast refreshments followed by a video presentation and open small group discussion. Lunch will be provided.

Who is The Prodigal God / Case for Christ Saturday For?
The Prodigal God / Case for Christ Saturday is great for anyone who doesn’t identify as a Christian. It helps them explore Christianity and process any questions or doubts they might have in a safe and low-key fashion. Whether you are very skeptical, just curious, or actively seeking to learn more about Jesus, The Reason for God is for you.

The Prodigal God / Case for Christ Saturday will also benefit Christians by helping them learn how to engage in fruitful dialogue about their faith in ways that seek mutual understanding and edification, and honors the concerns and doubts of others. It’s also a gentle, non-threatening and relaxed way to invite friends, family, neighbors and/or acquaintances to begin the conversation.

How Do I Attend?
If you're interested in attending, please RSVP to so we can plan accordingly (though last minute guests are always welcome). Also, please let us know if you are brining guests and if you need childcare.
