Board of Overseers

Dave Swaim

Lead Pastor

Raised just a few miles from Highrock, Dave is a local. Though he lived nine years in Virginia, and two overseas, when he returned to Boston for graduate school, he was home to stay. Dave and his wife Michelle started dating in high school, and they now have eleven children adopted from all over the world. Dave served several wonderful churches before coming to Highrock in 2000, but hopes to stay here forever.

Dave Logozzo

Chair of the Board of Overseers

Dave and his wife Jane have lived in Arlington since 2006.  They moved back to New England after living in the Mid West for 20 years and having various domestic and international business responsibilities.  Dave worked in the automobile industry for more than 35 years and then moved to Boston to work for the non-profit Lean Enterprise Institute in Cambridge, supporting leaders in partner organizations with their respe ctive ma nagement and improvement methods.  He has Mechanical Engineering and MBA degrees and affiliations with several professional organizations.  Dave loves serving the Lord, having been active at various home churches including a charter "start up" in Ohio, a "mega" church in Milwaukee, and a fast growing community church in the Detroit area.

Lindsay Pacheco

Financial Officer

Lindsay and her family have been attending Highrock for nearly 8 years. A native New Englander, Lindsay moved from Maine to the Boston area to pursue a Master of Finance and an MBA at Bentley University, and worked for MIT, Genzyme and a global construction materials company working in corporate finance. Currently, she lives in Arlington with her husband, Rich, and is a stay at home mom (who is rarely at home) raising three kids ages 2, 4, and 7. Days are filled with the endless activity of kids, while still managing to give some attention to the first "kid" - the poodle, and taking care of a barn full of horses in Lincoln. Lindsay has served as a Scripture reader, sung in the Christmas choir, and is currently the parish coordinator for the Arlington Heights parish.

Helena Anderson

Secretary of Overseers

Helena was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA, and moved to New England for college and stayed for a job.  She liked the area enough that she's one of the rare Californians who didn't move back to CA.   She's been attending Highrock since 2001, and currently lives in Burlington with her husband, two daughters, and dog.   Helena met her husband through the Make a Difference ministry, and he proposed to her during Soul Food.  Everyone in the room cheered when she said YES (how could she say no with that many witnesses?).   Both Helena and her husband work together at athena health, where his skills as a physician and her skills as a software project manager finally intersect in the healthcare IT industry.   Helena has enjoyed serving in many ministries at Highrock- most recently as a Highrock Spiritual Guide and is delighted to be able to serve as an Overseer.

Joy Huang

Joy has been attending Highrock Church since her very first Sunday in Boston, back in 2003!  It is very important to her that you understand that she became a Red Sox fan back in 2003, *before* they won the World Series in 2004.  She has now lived in the Boston area longer than she has lived anywhere else in her life, but she still thinks of Cleveland, OH as "home home", where she went to high school and where her parents still live.  After studying chemistry at Cornell and Princeton University, she spent a year in Taiwan with OMF International.  She currently works as a Clinical Research Associate for Sirtex, a small medical device company.  In her spare time, she co-captains for The Boat for Kids Who Don't Paddle Good (a dragon boat team) and occasionally updates her food blog, The Cooking of Joy.  She has been a Soul Food captain for many years, and is one of the masterminds behind the Christmas Concert cookies every year.

Scott Rice

Scott is originally from upstate New York. He and his wife, Abby, moved to Boston in 2012 and have been attending Highrock ever since. Growing up, the youth organization of Young Life had a significant impact on Scott's faith and after college he worked for the ministry for two years. Scott's favorite things include spending time with Abby and their newborn daughter, Margaret, and eating ice cream, often simultaneously. Currently in a doctoral program studying theology, he hopes to pursue a career in teaching. His research focuses on the themes of God and hope in modern theology. At Highrock he is involved with the Greenhouse (adult education) course Christian Essentials and writes sermon discussion questions for the church's small groups.

Joe Marcucci

In 1979, while undergrads at the University of New Hampshire, Joe married Lissa and they have seven children and three grandchildren and live in West Medford. Having served as a local church pastor for twenty four years, Joe currently directs the fleet and drivers for a non-profit transportation company that serves the needs of senior citizens and persons with disabilities. Since attending Highrock in 2010, Joe has been a spiritual guide; he leads a men’s group; and he participates on the newly formed Bridges Team. Joe’s primary spiritual interest include taking the gospel out of the church to those who live on the margins, and learning to follow Jesus through every season, challenge and opportunity in life. Rarely comfortable sitting still, Joe enjoys walking, biking, hiking, chasing his grandchildren, trying to beat his sons in basketball and coaching high school baseball.

Gary Sing

Gary moved to Boston in 2005, and has been attending Highrock Arlington since 2009.  He has served in various capacities while at Highrock, including music team member, Sunday service coordinator, high school tutor, and Christmas concert video producer.  Gary currently works for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a member of the policy team at MassHealth, and previously worked as a strategy consultant in the life sciences industry.  In his pre-Boston days, Gary grew up in St. Louis, MO and, along with his identical twin brother, still carries around a relatively un-bandwagon-y love for his hometown St. Louis Cardinals.

Joseph Lee

Joe has been attending Highrock since 2000.  He grew up in New York City and Los Angeles, but lived in the Boston area for over 30 years.  Joe graduated from Harvard School of Dental Medicine and Harvard School of Public Health and currently has a dental practice in Wellesley.  As one of the founding members of The Highrock Network of Churches, Joe currently serves as the Chair of the Highrock Network Board.  Joe is passionate about healthy church growth and church planting.  At Highrock Arlington, Joe had served as Chair of the Pastoral Care Committee, Capital Campaign Chair, small group leader and Sunday School teacher.  Joe lives in Wellesley with his wife Julie and three children Joshua, Jacqueline, and Jeremy.  When not working, he cheers for his home teams Red Sox and Patriots.
